Golden Machine

The sample computer in the network. The original disk image (the base image) that is deployed to the clients is created from the Golden Machine. The hardware configurations of other computers are the same as the one of the Golden Machine.

Disk Image

The disk image is created from the golden machine and deployed to the other clients, which simplifies the deployment of the Operating System and other software.

Deployment

The process of provisioning the disk image to the remote client computers.

Hard Disk Protection

Real-time protection of the hard-disk during the OS operating period. With Hard Disk Protection enabled, the client computer can be recovered to its previously-saved status, and permanently save current status after a system reboot.

Hidden Partition

The hidden partition is invisible to the Operating System, and is to store local checkpoints. The hidden partition relies on Hard Disk Protection.

ASF

ASF (Alert Standard Format) is a well-established industry standard that is used to describe the alert message format. ASF can provide alerting and remote control functionalities, independent of the status of the operating system and processor.
