This download supports Intel(R) RAID controllers using software stack 1 (SRCU32, SRCU42L, SRCZCR, SRCS14L) and Intel RAID controllers using software stack 2 (SROMBU42E,SRCU42X, SRCU42E, SRCU41L, SRCS16, SRCS28X, & SRCZCRX). please verify that this Update has been tested with the RAID card you have chosen to use by checking the drivers web page for your controller at http://support.intel.com. ================ Package Information ================ This System Update Package (SUP) contains the Q1'06 firmware release for the above mentioned RAID controllers. The SUP extracts to a DOS bootable CD that provides a menu driven application process. ==================== Attention! ==================== Please perform a full verified backup of all critical data prior to performing a firmware update. ================ Known Restrictions ================ Adapters with logical drives in a degraded state should not be updated, degraded logical drives should be repaired prior to a firmware update of the controller. The firmware update utilities will update multiple adapters in a system through the following process: 1. For software stack 1 based controllers, up to 4 adapters existing within a single system will be automatically updated when choosing this option. If more that 4 adapters are present, the excess adapters should be removed and the update applied to them seperately. 2. For software stack 2 based controllers, the number of adapters will be detected and the update will be applied based on their PCI order. 3. If both software stack 1 and software stack 2 controllers exist in the same system, they can be updated by individually choosing the adapter from the main menu. ==================== Contents on the package ==================== This SUP contains the following firmware versions: 1) SRCS32, SRCU42L,SRCS14L and SRCZCR = 2.42.02-R07A 2) SRCU42X and SRCZCRX = 414D 3) SRCS16 = 713Q 4) SRCU42E and SROMBU42E (available on the SE7520AF2 server board) = 514O 5) SRCU41L = 314N 6) SRCS28X = 814B Release notes for each version are available on the CD and are viewable via the SUP menu or through browsing the CD. ================== Installation Instructions ================== This package includes this release note and a RAID_SUP_v2.0.ISO file. 1.
