Supported RAID Controllers ========================== This download supports Software Stack 2 Intel(R) RAID controllers - SRCU42E, SRCU42X, SRCU41L, SROMBU42E, SRCZCRX, SRCS16, and SRCS28X Package Information ========================== This package contains executible files plus an installer to deploy MegaServ service application version 5.15 supporting Windows* 2000 sp4 (32-bit), and both 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows* Server 2003, Windows* Small Business Server 2003, and Windows* XP. MegaServ allows monitoring RAID Controller status and logging related events into Windows Event Log. Email alerts can optionally be generated using a third party Event Log monitoring applications. Email Alerting ========================== The MegaServ service will write events into Application part of Windows Event Log. It will not generate e-mail alerts. There are third party event log monitoring applications available, including freeware, that can be used for generating email alerts when a hard drive fails or other RAID array failures occur. The event log monitoring application should be configured to monitor events from source with the name MegaServ.Log With Windows* Small Business Server 2003, an event log monitoring application called Health Monitor is included and installed by default. Instructions for configuring Health Monitor are provided in SBS2003_Configuration.PDF Installation ========================== 1. Unpack the package into a directory on the target server 2. For 32bit Windows, run InstallMegaServ.bat. For Windows x64, run InstallMegaServ_x64.bat. 3.
