Insert USB Flash drive and boot the system. BIOS Settings required for PCT, Press to enter Setup. Upon entering BIOS press to load defaults. Change the boot order so EFI Shell is the primary (#1) boot device. Press to save BIOS setup settings and reboot to EFI. Test should start automatically. Pressing during tests will cause test to terminate. It is recommended that after the comprehensive or comprehensive looping test you do a full AC power cycle (remove power from the system) before retesting. The reason for this is to ensure that all controllers are reset and in an expected mode. The network test requires that the server not be plugged into any network. You can connect any network port to another port in the same system with a cross-over cable to test the NIC ports. Using Same PCT USB Flash Drive to test multiple systems. =========================================== If you plan to use the same PCT USB drive to test multiple systems, Boot the system with the USB Flash Drive to start the test in EFI then wait until all the files copied to the RAM drive, and test menu will display automatically, then remove the USB Flash Drive before you start the PCT test. Note: If the USB key removed during or after starting the PCT test will cause the test to fail. ============================================================================ Supported Products ============================================================================= Product Date Added Version of Initial Support ============================================================================= S5520HC 07/08/2008 1.02 S5520SC 10/23/2008 1.03 S5520UR 11/07/2008 1.04 S5520UR 11/28/2008 1.05 S5520XX 12/05/2008 1.06 S5520XX 01/23/2009 1.07 S5520XX 02/13/2009 1.08 S5520VI 03/09/2009 1.09 S5520XX 03/26/2009 1.10 S5520XX 04/02/2009 1.11 S5500XX 12/08/2009 1.16 S5520XX 12/22/2009 1.17 S55XXXX 02/18/2010 1.18 S55XXXX 02/26/2010 1.19 ============================================================================= ABOUT THIS RELEASE ============================================================================= v1.19 - 02/26/2010 Updated PCT utilities. v1.18 - 02/18/2010 Release to Support S55XX products with the latest Intel test modules and utilites.
