Sun ASM: Discrepancy in the size reported during array creation time in the SSM GUI and CLI after the array was created. The array was always created with 10MB less than what was originally shown in the SSM GUI. 3. On Solaris 10 U7 (both SPARC & x86), when the OS is installed with inbox driver and updated with the 16795 drivers, the system is not booting. The same issue does not exist with Solaris 10 U6. ============= Fixes/Updates ============= Version 5.2.0-17757 Fixed – Installation issue with SLES 10 SPE3 Fixed – ARCCONF shows RAID volumes as not protected by Global Spare (mismatches with GUI) Fixed – Adaptec SDK crashes with Win2k8 Fixed - CAM reports FWR_DEVICE_ERROR,4 or No such Disk when upgrading JBOD Disks via Prometheus HBA. This problem could not be verified at Adaptec due to the lack of CAM software. Fixed – When trying to upgrade Drive f/w on a JBOD from Linux host, SGXPCIESAS-R-EXT-Z panics and the host hangs. This problem could not be verified at Adaptec due to the lack of CAM software. Version 5.2.0-16795 Fixed: Seagate DFY SATA 500G failed smart warning & abortcmd with Adaptec in X4. The SLI is corrupting the smart data buffer, hence additional checks has been added in the firmware to consider only the valid SMART data. However the memory corruption is not fixed in the SLI as of this code drop. Fixed: R60 goes to failed state rather than degrade with shared physical drives. Version 5.2.0-16787 Fixed: Adaptec CLI utility mismatch GUI shows simple volume protected by hot spare. Fixed: SGXPCIESAS-R-EXT-Z issue fsck fails on a RAID 6 LUN greater than 2TB after a rebuild or verify. Fixed: Fixed the write retry logic of GG page of the battery subsystem. Fixed: Latest Hitachi SATA disk drives have the vendor name at the beginning of the model entry in their identify data structure. So implemented a workaround to extract vendor and product data from the ATA identify data and use it in the error situation. Fixed: Hyper terminal can not diagnosis NEM+ status change via UART cable on FW Fixed: where the BUSY status returning forever when SLI returns Local Rejects with a retry. This was related to Non spun-up drive or faulty drive cmd timeouts causing endless loop. Fixed: R60 goes to failed state rather than degrade with shared physical drives. Fixed: Firmware carshes with 10 enclosures during Windows shutdown. Version 5.2.0-16785 Fixed: Unable to see/access HBA from Sun RAID Manager GUI after system reboot. Fixed: Drop out of the attached J4200 Stroage causing system freeze. Fixed: Alarm restarts during array rebuild but silence button remains inactive. Version 5.2.0-16727 Fixed: RAID 5ee hung firmware w/ error Fixed: The queuing data into cache memory seems to be lost if power supply is down during writing data to drives Fixed: Host command failure when heavy I/O Stress test occurring at the same with R1 rebuild in progress Fixed: The controller does a core dump while processing Medium Errors. Fixed: RAID Volume write throughput is highly reduced. Fixed: Migrated R60 array does not pick up hot-spare for rebuild. Fixed: R60 does not pick up new drives properly after removing multiple drives and replacing Version 5.2.0-15872 Included MR3 Patch 4.5.5.0 that addresses the Firefly (Seagate Hard Drive model*) issue reported by Sun. Please refer CR6781020. Fixed the kernel panic issue when a rebuilding R10 was migrated from one system to the other. Added SATA Disk FW download time delay to ensure that there is a cooling period¡± of about 60 secs after all the payload are sent to the disk. Version 5.2.0-15864 Included MR3 Patch 4.5.4.0 that addresses the Firefly (Seagate Hard Drive model*) issue reported by Sun. Please refer CR6780279. Version 5.2.0-15847 Included Intel IOP INTEFACE MR3 production release 4.5.3.0 Fixed: Discovery times are excessively long Fixed: SAS cable hot-plug did not initiate discovery Fixed: the issue when pulling out drives from a drive enclosure and rescan drives makes controller panic. It is partly related to CR6779492. Fixed: Bios Cache setting are not reversible ¨C changed the Menu options strings names to Enable All, Disable All, Drive Specific to avoid confusion and make it clear to the user. Improved Sequential & Random Read performance for R1/R10 arrays by optimizing the read distribution to the member drives. This was requested by the Sun team to compare better against the competition. Version 5.2.0 - 15845 Included the Intel IOP INTEFACE 2.0 MR3 RC2 code Version 5.2.0 - 15842 Included the Intel IOP INTEFACE 2.0 based patch for addressing the SAS hot plug discovery issue reported by Sun with the J4500 JBODs. This bug is described in the CR 6740104. Here is the Intel IOP INTEFACE release note for the fix: When running in an configuration comprised of multiple enclosures (multiple vendors), swapping the cables that are connecting the enclosures may result in the Transport Firmware reporting a Discovery failure to the Intel IOP INTEFACE host Version 5.2.0 - 15829 Fixed: Sun Blade Server hard disks are detected initially, but upon reboot it disappearing issue (CR6737279). The fix includes handling of single ported drives (SATA) in dual-ported enclosures (e.g. SUN BLADE SERVER & SUN BLADE) Fixed: The issue where the system appeared to hang when more than 8 Rebuilds where running in parallel. The FW will limit the background rebuild process to 8 and restart the when the resources are available. Fixed: A BLINKED LED in CheckMorphContainer() found during regression testing Version 5.2.0 - 15825 Added: A fix to detect a rescan and update the cached hard drive firmware version to reflect a new version after a drive firmware flash Added: Fix for RAID 10 Change Version 5.2.0 - 15819 Added: ADAPTER-INITIATED FIB-notification support for element status code changes for temperature sensor elements in SES-2 enclosures. With this extension, the Sun RAID Manager should correctly indicate the enclosure temperature statusfor enclosures, which do not support warning/failure flags in SES-2 status pages e.g. SUN JBOD (TW24) Added: Support for handling of System Enclosure Processor without slot-elements, e.g. SUN BLADE Fixed: X6450/X6250 blades hang intermittently while booting RHEL5 at starting UDEV (THE LINUX IMPLEMENTATION OF THE DEVICE MANAGER SIMILAR TO WINDOWS) Version 5.2.0 - 15816 Added: 4 degrees (down) correction for temperature sensed on-die in INTEL IOP SILICON and corrected temperature high limit to 105degrees Version 5.2.0 - 15815 Fixed: Online LEDs vanishes for HDDs which are a part of degraded RAID volume after system reset. Fixed: Online LEDs don't glow for the HDDs which is a part of a degraded array in specific slots Fixed: LED goes off for HDD in slot4 when there are 6 HDDs on X4140. Fixed: Memory corruption caused by returning more than 4 bytes on mode sense header. Version 5.2.0 - 15813 Included 2.0 Intel IOP INTEFACE 4.2.2.0 official release Fixed: Panic upon dynamic addition of second J4500 tray in cascade Fixed: RAID Software stack Loss of access to controller during I/O stress test 6670526 - RAID Software stack driver panicked or had I/O hang with heavy I/O loads Placeholder: Enable IOP Reset and Disable FW Timebomb before Shipping Disabled the snapshot feature from OEM SUN Fix Gen6 battery ADAPTER-INITIATED FIB. Was not sending the correct for_your_attention bits. This caused STORAGE MANAGER to not see all the events that triggered the ADAPTER-INITIATED FIB Version 5.2.0 - 15812 Included 2.0 INTEL IOP INTEFACE 4.1.13.0 official release Fixed: Screen freezes for a few sec, drives are not seen when maximum no of volumes are created. - X4240, 16HDD Added warning for space remaining when a physical disk is selected during a create and this will be the last array allowed on this disk Fixed: StorageTEK Card Controller Failure - Controller monitor failure error.
