Installation and use
Beep Codes
1-pause-1-1-1 Controller startup successful.
Continuing beep Disk failure or controller failure. Use StorCon or StorCon+ to view the Save Information file for details.

Error : Component Cannot Be Found
Use StorCon in DOS for major firmware updates

Error: "Detected damaged primary configuration data"
StorCon | Advanced | Physical Devices | SCSI ID | F8 to Repair

Error: "No Valid Controller Found" Adding a Zero Channel RAID Controller
Press Ctrl-A during POST
Select a channel | Main Options | Disable HostRAID | Save and exit.
Power off the system and install the Zero Channel RAID.

Error: "SAF-TE disk configuration error" or "SEP device not found"
  1. Enter the BIOS StorCon utility by pressing during POST
  2. Advanced | Configure Physical Devices | ESG-SHV SCA HSBP | Enclosure Slot Configuration.
  3. Highlight each slot in succession and press to remove the cached SAF-TE information.
  4. Repeat the process to rescan the hard disk information.
  5. Main menu | Configure Array | Remove all hot spare drives, and configure at least one as global.
  6. Exit StorCon and reboot.

Error: "Splitting Invalid Mirror-Devices of Drive X into Several Drives"
Two drives of a mirror have been updated individually, but neither drive has failed. Remove the drive with the "outdated" data from the array and rebuild the mirror on a clean drive.

Error: BBU bad or missing
The error message has been updated in firmware 1.19 to "Battery charging or defective". If you see this error message for a longer period than 72 hours, consider replacing the unit.

Error: Cannot Load MAPILogon() from MAPI32.DLL
"Error: ""Cannot Load MAPILogon() from MAPI32.DLL"" or ""Cannot init MAPI !""
Use the Email Notification option in the RAID Configuration Service. This uses SMTP instead of MAPI to send the email notification.
Other RAIDMail functions, such as local and remote alerting, will continue to function."

SCSI disconnect errors
Last Status code of 0x0000010F indicates that the controller attempted to do a normal disconnect operation with the device, but was unable to do so for a timeout period of 30 seconds. Replace the device.
