Suggested size for OS partition of at least 6GB. Drive must be on Intel's Tested Hardware List (THOL). - To download drivers or firmware from the Intel support site, the server must be connected to the Internet with only one network port from the server connected. ================================================================================ Supported Platforms ================================================================================ Intel(R) Server Board S5520UR Intel(R) Server Board S5520URT Intel(R) Server Board S5500BC Intel(R) Server Board S5520HC Intel(R) Server Board S5520HCT Intel(R) Server Board S5500HCV Intel(R) Server Board S5500WB Intel(R) Workstation Board S5520SC ================================================================================ Supported RAID Controllers ================================================================================ - SAS ROMB (SROMBSASMR), Embedded RAID level 0. 1, Hardware RAID level 0. 1, 5 - SRCSASBB8I - SRCSASPH16I - SRCSAS144E - RMS2LL040 - RMS2AF080 - RMS2AF040 - RMS2MH080 - RS2WC080 - RS2WC160 - ICH10, Embedded RAID level 0, 1 - FALSASMP2 - SRCSAS18E - SRCSAS144E - SRCSASJV - SRCSASRB - SRCSATAWB - SRCSASPH16I - SRCSASBB8I - SRCSASLS4I - SASMF8I - SASWT4I - SASUC8I For details on Intel RAID cards, please refer Intel Web site: http://www.intel.com/products/server/raid/ Note: Intel(R) Matrix RAID is not supported by IDA ================================================================================ Considerations and Known Issues ================================================================================ - IDA may fail to perform Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 6 unattended installation on ESRTII software RAID due to driver reason. This issue will be fixed by next release, user still can manually install Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* 6. - IDA may report error message about missing CD/DVD when install Windows* 2008 on S1200BT ESRTII software RAID with a SATA CD/DVD-ROM. Using a USB CD/DVD-ROM can avoid this problem. - The static IP address cannot be saved to OS when using IDA to perform Windows* 2003 and 2008 unattended OS installlation. - IDA cannot set password with special characters for BIOS admin and user account. - IDA cannot enable BMC alert channel 1 and 3 at the same time, separatelly enable BMC alert on channel 1 and 3 are OK. - IDA can enable 4 iBMC accoounts, includes anonymous user, user 3, user 4 and user 5. IDA cannot set user 2 (root) - IDA allows maximum 63 characters for BMC DHCP host name - User can access BMC with fully qualified domain name (FQDN)from different domain, DHCP host name is not enough to find BMC IP in some network environment. - IDA may detect RAID controller AXX4SASMOD ESRTII model as IR RAID model, it doesn't impact actual function - After IDA configue onboard ESRTII RAID for several times, IDA may report ¡°This controller is not ready for configuration,Please reboot the systrem and try later[0x10000056]¡±, reboot server and try again, this issue can be avoided. - When using IDA OS installation of Red Hat* Enterprise Linux* Server 5 unattended, the setup may stop proceeding at the driver selection page. User needs to select a driver manually. - IDA patch update can create new IDA version on an USB key and boot server with this USB key, but if user boots server to IDA with a USB key, IDA cannot create a new version of the same USB key with IDA patch update function. - IDA may hang on "creating clone image" page if server system memory is less than 512MB - SATA mode in BIOS should be same between first server and other server when cloning OS with IDA - When cloning OS with IDA, the first server should only has one strage volume - If cloning BIOS configuration with IDA, the BIOS password should be null on other servers - In cloning BIOS configuration incluses boot order, the original boot order status of other servers should exactly the same as the first, otherwise, the boot order cannot be replicated. - When cloning OS with IDA, the onboard NIC1 should connect with network. - For Windows* 2003 installation cloning, if the file server which shares OS CD content is Windows* 2003, ensure that Windows* Administrative Tools -> Domain Controller Security Policy -> Local Policies -> Security Options -> Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (always) is disabled. Also disable: Microsoft network server: Digitally sign communications (if client agrees) to keep from getting a Permission denied. ================================================================================ Legal Information ================================================================================ This document, as well as the software described in it is furnished under license and may only be used or copied in accordance with the terms of the license.
