Use the Email Notification option in the RAID Configuration Service. This uses SMTP instead of MAPI to send the email notification.

Intel® Embedded RAID Technology I message “Please resolve configuration first”

The port configuration needs to be imported to be recognized by Intel® Embedded RAID Technology I before a RAID array can be created or deleted.

Enter the RAID OptionROM (CTRL+E during boot) > Main menu > Configure > press ‘Enter’ on the port > Import the configuration

Reading the RAID log file

.txt or .evt files can be read with any plain text editor.



Repeated Beeps During Normal Operation

Possible disk failure. Run Storage Console to check status.


SCSI disconnect errors

Last Status code of 0x0000010F indicates that the controller attempted to do a normal disconnect operation with the device, but was unable to do so for a timeout period of 30 seconds. Disable SCSI Disconnects in StorCon > Advanced > Configure Physical Devices > Device> SCSI Parameters / Initialize > Disconnect > Disable


Turning Off the Audible Alarm on the Intel® RAID Controllers

In StorCon, under Advanced Setup > Configure Controller, press < F4 > to silence alarm. In StorCon+, in the Physical Configuration view, right click on the icon of the controller requiring alarm deactivation. Click Silence to deactivate alarm.


Unable to access the RAID Option ROM during POST

The hotkey option to enter the Option ROM is disabled by default.

To display this option, the Intel® Quiet or Silent Boot options need to be disabled in the BIOS. This will disable the Intel splash screen during POST displaying the hotkey option for the option ROM.
