Search Functionality ========================== -Searches the summary or detailed view in the review page, and filter the results based on the search criteria provided. -The search is initiated as the user types, and SSU filters the output in the view to display only those items which match the search criteria. If no matching items are found, the view will be empty. -The search field is case insensitive, and searches for substring matches. For example, a search for Intel will match both of “Storage Device for Intel” or “Intel® Dual Band Wireless”. -The search uses the three basic Boolean operators AND, OR and NOT to focus the search criteria. Example: If a combination of AND and OR are used together, the search terms can be enclosed in parenthesis. For example, Intel AND (storage OR graphics) -If the search parameters are not enclosed within parenthesis the search operators shall evaluate each operator/term(s) as it is encountered in left to right order. For example, Example: “Intel AND storage OR graphics” is evaluated as “(Intel AND storage) OR graphics” Example: “Intel AND NOT Storage” is evaluated as “Intel AND (NOT Storage)” Output File Format ========================== Updated the Intel® System Support Utility output file to parse and write more formatted scan information. Retrieve Log File Information ========================== -Intel ® System Support Utility was updated to provide detailed logging capabilities, including saving the information to the output file, and displaying to the dialog. Third-Party Logs consist of “System Log Information” & “DXDiags” Logs Operating System Content Updates ========================== -Retrieve the Windows updates that are currently installed on the system. The Operating System node in the tree-view has been updated to include a child node, “Installed Updates”. On click the “Installed Updates” node will list Windows updates on the user’s system and is displayed on the details view within two columns, with the update number in the first column, and the package name and install date in the second column. The summary view shall display in the system information section the number of updates that have been installed on the system. Storage Content Updates ========================== -Retrieve SMART data for PCI-E NVM drives. -Resolve the model name for an SSD to its corresponding marketing name -All Intel NVMe and SATA devices include a link to the firmware update support page accessible via double-click on the icon or row for “firmware revision”. -Retrieve the physical sector size for storage devices. -Retrieve the device serial number for Intel® storage devices via an IOCTL command SSU Linux Output File ========================== -SSU for Windows is capable of loading the SSU Linux output log for viewing in the User Interface.
