Intel(R) Server Management (ISM) software v5.5 and v5.5.1
used to manage Intel SE7501WV2, SE7501BR2 & SE7501HG2 server boards.

Instructions for installing update files.

The files included in this update are used to correct a problem that occurs when 
installing ISM v5.5 and v5.5.1 console software to a non-English language version 
of the Microsoft* Windows* operating system. 

As part of the normal ISM console software installation, you are instructed to
reboot the console to complete the installation process.  If you are using a 
non-English operating system, you will see an error message similar to the following 
during the reboot: 
"需要Lan Alert Help Search Data上的文件"DOCS".  

The installation will complete if you click "cancel" on the error message dialog box.
It is believed that the ISM console software will function normally on all subsequent 
boots and no unusual behavior will be experienced. However, to eliminate the error 
message this update package has been created.  

Execute ISM_5.5_Install_Upd.exe to self-extract two files: this readme.txt file and 
ISM_5.5_nonEngUpd.exe.  Use the update as follows:

1. Before executing ISM_5.5_nonEngUpd.exe, copy the contents of the ISM CD to 
writeable media, such as the local hard disk drive. 

2. Execute ISM_5.5_nonEngUpd.exe. 

3. You will be prompted with a dialog box that asks where to expand the update files. 
For the update to work correctly, you must select the top level of the ISM 
directories that were copied from the ISM CD. The top level of the CD is \ISM.  
For example, if you copied the contents of the ISM CD to C:\, select C:\ISM

4. ISM_5.5_nonEngUpd.exe will self-extract and add the following six files to 
\ISM\Software\win32\LanAlert\Help\SearchData:

DOCS
DOCS.TAB
OFFSETS
POSITIONS
SCHEMA
TMAP

Once these files are in place, the console installation can be completed normally.  
The error message caused by running the installation on a non-English version of 
Microsoft Windows will not be displayed. 

As an option, the new \ISM directory structure can also be copied to a new CD and 
used for installations on multiple systems.
