The steps below assume the firmware image was saved to a floppy diskette. 1. Download and extract the firmware image file fw234543.exe. 2. Launch StorCon ver 2.12 or later ( during POST or the DOS version can be obtained as a download image DOS_SC_212.exe) 3. Select the applicable IIR controller and press enter (systems with one controller will only list one at the first menu screen). 4. If the Express Setup menu is displayed, press to display the Advanced Setup menu. 5. Select the menu option 'Configure Controller' and press enter. 6. Insert the floppy disk containing the firmware image src_rxfw.040 created in step 1 above. 7. From the Configure Controller submenu, select Firmware Update and press enter. 8. You may be prompted to type in the path to the file, type and press enter. 9. After finding the file, StorCon displays the name, description and version of the firmware. Press enter. 10.Data integrity of the update will be checked and then you will be prompted to continue, choose 'yes' to continue. 11.The update will now be applied. Do not interupt the process. 10.Upon completion, Reboot the system for the changes to take effect.
