1) Installing 2.4 firmware on the Intel Wireless Gateway
-----------------------------------------------------------

How to determine the current firmware version of your Intel Wireless Gateway: 

In the Web browser user interface, click on the Device Information tab - the 
current firmware version is display in the lower right corner of the display. 


1. Download the version 2.6 firmware update.

2. After downloading the firmware update, double-click on the downloaded file 
   to install the firmware on your local hard drive.

3. From the IWG's Web UI, select System Tools.

4. Select Upgrade Firmware on the left side of the browser screen.

5. Locate the downloaded firmware file (default location c:\Intel_IWG_2.6), and 
   then double-click file named Wi686. The firmware file is displayed in the Firmware 
   Upgrade file box.

6. Click Start. The firmware update process begins and takes a few minutes. The 
   status light flashes and the unit restarts. The Device Information tab should 
   reflect the new firmware version number.


2) Compatibility

This release supports the Intel Wireless Gateway.
 

3) Feature changes / additions
------------------------------

- ACL table now supports 32 entries
- Warning message displayed if attempt is made to set the WAN MAC address the same as the LAN MAC address
- Expanded the host name field to 28 characters
