Create a dos boot disk. 2. Remove all add-in adapters from system. 3. Make sure that ATA and NIC controllers are enabled in BIOS (F2) setup. 4. Boot system using new dos boot diskette. 5. Execute the ataraid.exe utility with appropriate commands (see below). 6. Remove power cables from system for 10 seconds. 7. Reboot. Options: -help or -?" Brings up command line help." -ATA" Programs server to ATA mode operation only (no RAID)." -RAID" Programs server to RAID mode operation." Because sub-system device ID's may change with update, the OS can recognize different hardware and not be able to handle the changes. Recommend running utility prior to installing operating system. - This update may change the settings of the network controller in certain operating systems.
