Long Boot Time after updating ASMBE Symptom(s): After unpacking and updating the Adaptec* Serial ATA RAID Management Utility (latest version available on support.intel.com for this server board is ASMBE.EXE, version 1.25.004 of 03/10/2004) and immediately rebooting your server, you may experience long boot times. You may also observe some services not being loaded and errors appearing in the error log. Cause: The image path for the I/O manager is mistakenly put between quotes (" ") and therefore cannot be read. Solution: After installing ASMBE.EXE, do not immediately restart your server. Instead, back up your Windows* registry to a safe location, and then edit the following registry key: Local machine-System-Current control services-iomanager Please remove the quotes (" ") from the image path. Then restart your server.
