Backup all data prior to the firmware update. 1. Download and extract the irflash utility to a floppy diskette or CD-ROM. 2. Download and extract the firmware file to a floppy diskette or CD-ROM. 2. Boot the target system to Linux. 3. Insert the floppy diskette containing irflash utility created in step 1 into the floppy or CD drive. 4. Run the RPM with the command rpm -ivh irflsh-2.01.00-0.i386.rpm. 5. Follow the screen prompts. Help can be obtained with the command "irflash /?" Multiple controllers installed in the same system can be updated one after the other by following the prompts that are presented. ================ Component Features ================ a) Supports CLI (Command Line Interface) mode. c) Multiple instances of utility are not allowed d) Multiple adapters can be flashed one after another. e) Image files are searched from the current directory, only for the controllers available in the system. In that case, if multiple valid image files found, users will be asked to choose one image file among the listed valid images. f) “Forced File Flashing” can be done with some adapters with files given with /f option.
