This download supports Intel(R) SCSI RAID controllers using software stack 2 (the SRCU42X, SRCS16, SRCZCRX, SROMBU42E, SRCU41L, & SRCU42E), please verify that this driver has been tested with the RAID card you have chosen to use by checking the drivers web page for your controller at //Support.Intel.Com. Backup all data prior to the firmware update. 1. Download and extract the irflash utility to a floppy diskette or CD-ROM. 2. Download and extract the firmware file to a floppy diskette or CD-ROM. 2. Boot the target system to NetWare. 3. Insert the disk containing irflash utility created in step 1 into the floppy or CD drive. 4. Load the nlm. 5. Follow the screen prompts. Help can be obtained with the command "irflash /?" Multiple controllers installed in the same system can be updated one after the other by following the prompts that are presented. Component Features ================== Component Features a) Supports CLI (Command Line Interface) mode. c) Multiple instances of utility are not allowed d) Multiple adapters can be flashed one after another. e) Image files are searched from the current directory, only for the controllers available in the system. In that case, if multiple valid image files found, users will be asked to choose one image file among the listed valid images. f) “Forced File Flashing?can be done with some adapters with files given with /f option. This means user can provide some image files by her and can force them to flash with matching controllers. g) This utility provides an option to query all valid adapters present in the system and shows their information and then quit. Component Features ================== ?For /p option if user provide the image file name only then it will be search from the same directory from where the utility is running, otherwise user can give full path name for the image file. ?For /s option if there are more than one valid image files are present in the directory from where the utility is run, then user has to specify the image file name with /f option along with /s option. Known Restrictions ================== ?Other then /p option the image file(s) will be searched from the current directory only. ?Flash through boot block option not is supported.
