Installation Package (AFS filesystem) that contains - amird (HBA driver). Also when you use "mkdev hd" to add the devices to the system, the device mapping table should be used. The mapping table: for logical Drives configure: channels=actual physical channel+(0, 1, 2, 3), target=0 - 15 (escape id 7), lun=0. Creating the Driver Diskette 1. Download and Extract Osramird.rwi to your hard drive. Use rawrite to extract this file. Usage: 2. Installing the SCO OpenServer Driver Set the BIOS to boot from CD-ROM, and then boot your system from SCO OpenServer CD. On boot prompt, type link after the prompt as shown below: 3. Boot: link You will be prompted for the name of the packages you need loaded into the system, or q to quit: Type: amird, and then ENTER. Insert the driver disk into Driver a: Follow the screen prompt and accept the default. The screen will prompt for the SCSI driver that is currently being installed. 4. After driver successfully loaded, you will be prompted as following : Selecting a keyboard type; Use default: US English Licensing your system; Type in your product and license code 5. Select install mode UPGRADE/FRESH; Select FRESH 6. Create root user password; Type you password TWICE! 7. Peripheral device setting; Choose correct NIC/video adapter/mouse 8. Installation method choosen; Select the packages you want to install and the hard drive partition 9. The system will start install automatically and you will be prompted to REBOOT the server. Note: Sometimes, the mouse is not automatically recognized by OpenServer during installation. In this situation, you must change to the TEXT mode by using Alt+Ctrl+F4, the system will start install automatically and you will be prompt to REBOOT the server.
